Welcome to the Nursing and Midwifery Society (but you can call us NAMSOC!)
NAMSOC is a lively, social, active society open to all UCD students. We pride ourselves on being one of the most approachable and friendly societies in UCD. NAMSOC is truly the best way to meet new people and make friends across all the disciplines of nursing and midwifery, and all of UCD.
Here at NAMSOC we understand how vital events and activities are to college life, so we’re here to help. We’re dedicated to running numerous events throughout the year, from nights out to academic talks, there’s something for everyone! Why not come along to our coffee mornings for your daily dose of caffeine after those early 9am lectures? Or give your social life some CPR after those long library days by attending some of our nights out and formals (after all, we’re trained to give shots 😉). To top it all off every year we host our highly anticipated ball where our members can enjoy a night of good food, music, and dancing they’ll never forget (or won’t remember at all if it’s a really good night!). Don’t worry if nights out aren’t your thing, we also host academic events and talks. Last year our members had the chance to listen to and engage with Directors of Nursing and Midwifery from four of our parent university hospitals at our ‘Future of Healthcare’ event.
