Chairé and welcome to the Classical Society! Founded in 1906, the UCD Classical Society is one of the oldest societies on campus. Our society focuses on preserving its approachable and welcoming nature by catering to a broad range of interests within Classics, ancient mythologies, and history. From arts and crafts to film screenings to book clubs to study sessions, the Classical Society hosts events that are open to all students, whether they have a background in Classics or not. The society holds visits and activities centred around ancient art and culture within UCD’s very own Classical Museum. This hidden treasure is home to Ireland’s largest collection of Classical antiquities. If all this isn’t intriguing enough, there is an end of year trip to Athens or Rome! So come on down and the choice is yours!
