Dr Suzanne Crowe is a paediatric intensive care consultant in CHI Crumlin – she is one of Ireland’s leading specialists in the country’s largest acute paediatric hospital. She is also the current President of the Irish Medical Council, after being re-elected for a second term.
Dr Crowe recently published her memoir, titled ‘Intensive Care: True Stories of Healing, Heartache and Hope from Inside Irish Children’s Medicine.’ This book details the personal and professional challenges experienced by healthcare staff in treating vulnerable patients and their families in the fragile world of the intensive care unit. She has a passionate interest in patient advocacy, healthcare improvement, and medical law.
