Because they cell-ebrate everything! 
The UCD Biological Society- or simply BioSoc- is a student-run body devoted to highlighting the beauty of the natural world and nurturing a love of biology.
Throughout the year, we host a wide range of events:
Social events – pub quizzes, coffee mornings and nights out
Academic events – study sessions, alumni talks & our annual subject talk (where you can explore the many streams in Biology)
Biology-inspired events – sea swims, beach clean-ups & wildlife events
We’re also proud to host our annual Winter Fair, where you can shop from small businesses and you can also support charity throughout the year in our bake sales.
Our biggest event of the year is the Eve McCarthy Award for Inspiring Aspiring Scientists. Named in memory of our dear friend and dedicated committee member, Eve McCarthy, this award honours those whose groundbreaking work continues to inspire the next generation of scientists.
