Please join us on Tuesday 15th of April at 5:30pm in the Moore Auditorium, O’Brien Centre for Science, to proudly present the Eve McCarthy Award to 2022 Nobel Prize Winner of Chemistry, Professor Morten Meldal.

This award, named in memory of our dear friend and dedicated committee member Eve McCarthy, celebrates those whose work has been revolutionary and deeply influential in inspiring aspiring scientists. Eve was a brilliant presence in our society, kind, curious, and full of life.

Professor Morten Meldal is a Danish chemist and professor at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He was awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, alongside two others for the groundbreaking development of ‘Click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry’.
