The Inaugural show for the 97th session of UCD Dramsoc is The Zombie Monologues by Rachel Thornton. After a nomination in every nearly every category at the Irish Student Drama Awards 2024 and walking away with 5 wins, including Best Overall Production, there was no better show to start the new year of Dramsoc off.

The year is 2020. Or maybe it’s 2021; nobody can tell anymore.
There are four time-displaced zombies, who are forced to live together as the world falls into lockdown. When a plan to snack on a takeaway driver goes haywire, the undead roommates find themselves at the whims of a perpetually positive budding young filmmaker, determined to show them, and the world, the bright side of death. What unfolds is a darkly comic tale of why we keep rising from our graves over and over again.
