Trip Overview

We’ll be starting the day early, catching the train* from Dublin Connolly at 08:50, and arriving in Belfast Grand Central at 10:58. After arriving, we’ll enjoy a guided tour/talk around the brand new Belfast Grand Central from 11:30 to 12:30 to learn more about the history and significance of this major transport hub.

After the tour, you’ll have a lunch break to grab a bite and explore the local area at your own pace.

Next up, we’ll take a short train ride to Cultra at 14:00, where we’ll visit the Ulster Transport Museum from 14:40 to 16:40. The museum showcases Northern Ireland’s rich transport heritage, featuring vintage trains, trams, and cars.

We’ll return to Belfast Grand Central by train at 17:00 to catch the 18:00 train back to Dublin, arriving at 20:13.

*Getting to Belfast

While we recommend taking the 08:50 train from Dublin Connolly and the 18:00 return to stay on schedule, you are welcome to make your own way to Belfast if you prefer to travel by car, bus, or other means. Just make sure to arrive at Belfast Grand Central by 11:30 to join the tour!
