Women+ in STEM Society

About Our Society

The UCD Women+ in STEM Society is dedicated to supporting, connecting and promoting female and non-binary students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and other related fields.

We go by “Women+” to emphasise that we advocate for non-binary students along with cis and trans women. All UCD students are welcome to join our Society and to participate in our events, regardless of their gender or field of study!

We were first established in 2019 and are currently in our 6th Session (2024/25). We aim to create the best experiences for our members and the wider student community. We work to achieve this through a variety of social, outreach, and professional events and opportunities.

  • Social: building a support network and cross-faculty community with fun events to help members relax and meet like-minded people.
  • Outreach: inspiring and educating the younger generation about the possibilities within STEM through our engaging outreach programme.
  • Professional:  preparing our members for life after college and equipping them with key skills and opportunities for their future careers.
